The Patient Global Impression of Change (PGIC), also known as Patient Global Impression scale (PGI), is a PRO version of the widely used Clinical Global Impression scales developed by the U.S. National Institutes of Health.
A single item rated on a 7-point Likert scale designed for patients to rate their own perceptions of treatment effectiveness.
Many translations of this scale are available across service providers for the pharmaceutical industry. It is a common practice for clinical research teams to customize the leading question for the objectives of study protocols. Hence, many versions of the PGIC also exist.
This PGIC scale, and all translations thereof, are the exact equivalents to the original NIMH version. Customizations are available upon request.
